Terms of Service
Last updated: May 20, 2026
1. What ClipKing is
ClipKing is a software tool that lets you watch publicly available livestreams in your browser, record short segments of what you are watching for your own use, and edit those recordings with a built-in video editor. ClipKing does not host, store, curate, or distribute any stream content on your behalf. All capture and editing happens in your own browser.
2. You are responsible for what you record and how you use it
ClipKing is a general-purpose tool, like a screen recorder. You decide what to record and what you do with it. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your recording, editing, sharing, uploading, or other use of any content complies with all applicable laws and with the terms of any third-party platform or rights holder.
You agree only to use ClipKing for content you have the right to record and use — for example, clips that the relevant streamer or platform permits, content you own, or content you are otherwise authorized or legally permitted to capture. You will not use ClipKing to infringe anyone's copyright, violate any platform's terms, or break any law.
3. Third-party platforms
ClipKing is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Kick, Twitch, or any other platform or streamer. Those platforms have their own terms of service that govern your use of their content and services. Your use of ClipKing in connection with any platform is at your own risk and is your responsibility to keep compliant. ClipKing may stop working with a platform at any time if that platform changes its systems.
4. Accounts and membership
Some features may require an account or a paid membership. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Membership fees, billing terms, and refund policy (if any) are presented at the point of purchase.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use ClipKing to infringe intellectual-property rights or any third-party platform's terms;
- resell, redistribute, or sublicense the service itself;
- attempt to disrupt, attack, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what its open-source license permits;
- use ClipKing for anything unlawful.
6. Open-source notice
ClipKing's editor is built on the open-source OpenCut project, used under the MIT License. The OpenCut copyright and license notice are retained in the project. ClipKing is an independent product and is not endorsed by the OpenCut maintainers.
7. No warranty
ClipKing is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that any stream will play, that any recording will succeed, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ClipKing and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any claims arising from content you choose to record, edit, or share using the tool. Your use of ClipKing is at your own risk.
9. Changes and termination
We may update these terms or the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
